A quick-fire half-century from Shaun http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-James-Marshall-c90362 saw the Perth Scorchers pulling off a last-ball thriller in the rain-affected second semi-final of the ongoing Big Bash League, bagging an 8-wicket win over the Melbourne Stars which propelled them to the finals
of the tournament, at the WACA in Perth, today on January 16.
The Scorchers commenced the match by winning the toss and choosing to field first. Although their innings was interrupted by rain, the Stars managed to post a solid final total of 183 at the expense of just 2 wickets, courtesy Cameron White (88), who opened
for the team and anchored the innings at the top.
He was joined by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Brad-Hodge-c1184 (70*) was more than up to the challenge, and joined forces with
White for a second-wicket 120-run partnership.

final total of 183 by the end of 18 overs (the result of bad weather).

However, opening batsman and Player of the Match Shaun Marsh more than made up for it with his 68 off 40. He was joined by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Voges-c925 (36*) for a steady partnership which got the team up to 101 by just the 10th over. Marsh eventually ended up
falling prey to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MEK-Hussey-c1942 (18*) to propel the Scorchers to 139, with 8 wickets and 0 balls remaining.
