  1. there¿'s the good, the bad and the ugly.  Clinica's are better than governmental places.

  2. They aren't the best but is way cheaper than here and you don't have to wait so much as here i mean in emergency room .

I tought usa's hospital were good then i got dissapointed too expensive and you have to wait uff and sometimes they don't know what you have but they charge you lot of money.

Clinicas are  better most of them are fast ,not too expensive (compared with america's hospital) and good treatment.

  3. depends  where  u go,, in lima  there are  the  best,  and  the publics  ar  so so,,, the  best one  its  the  rebagliaty hospital,  in  lince distric.

so,  exist   more particulas  clinics and  hospitals, ((cheap for  the foreigners)) with a high qualitty attention.

many peoppe   from outside, comes to peru  for get a  surgery or  health  treatment.

anyway,, just  search, ask and get a  good  info.

    suerte:)

  4. The public hospitals are a mess (poor resources, lots of people and very few doctors) and I wouldn't go to one of them. However there are several private ones (called Clinicas) and are great, top quality in terms of doctors and medicine and treatments. Some of the best are Clinica San Felipe, Clinica AngloAmericana, Clinica Tezza, Clinica Maison de Sante, Clinica San Pablo, Clinica Montesur.

Years ago when I lived in Lima I visited emergency room (food poisoning) in Clinica AngloAmericana and then had my appendix removed in Clinica San Felipe and both were really 5 star hospitals. Just make sure you have insurance as they are all very expensive.
