WE just had an 8. something earthquake that leveled a couple of towns last August.

The Pisco earthquake, 15th august 2007.

It was a 7.9 Richter scale earthquake that lasted almost 2 minutes.

Terribly affected the cities of Chincha, Pisco and Ica.

Over 200 people died, thounsand wounded, and thousands of houses destroyed.

A small tsunami washed the town of Paracas.

The port of Pisco was destroyed.

There are several pictures on the internet of the affected areas and footage of how it was lived in Lima. Go to youtube and seach Lima Earthquake
