It is over and lessons are normal again. It has been very positive that the government did not engage in dialogue with the teachers (public sector) They named substitute teachers so that the children would not suffer any more delays in their education. It is well known that there are lots of politican ideas and infiltrated people amongst the teachers on strike and they only want to create chaos. Teachers should never be on strike as their actions make children suffer. There are other ways of solving problems, other than striking.

Since my wife is from Lima Peru & did attend college there with a Masters degree, she said the teachers strike is a good thing. Not for the teachers, but for the children. Believe it or not, most or at least a lot of teachers in Lima didn't actually go to college. The reason for the strike as you all may or may not know is because the Govt. requires re-testing to show thy self approved, so to speak. If the teachers can pass the test then they can keep their jobs. It isn't difficult to aquire a teachers license in Peru. All you need to $$. but $$ can't help you pass the teachers test. & the teachers know this! My wife took the test every time she was required to & being a true teacher with college education, she passed!

One note to ponder is, college in any country is expensive!
