Question:

Peru this Summer?

I've been offered a chance to go to Peru this summer, for 3 weeks with a bunch of college students, that my mom's best friend is taking. She offered me to go.

But I'm 17 years old, and I would love to go ,and my parents are offering to pay for it.

But it's a lot of money, and I I feel guilty having them pay for it.

Because they're still paying for my sister's college courses. They say they can afford it, and If i really want to go, they'll send me.

But I leave before my father comes home for a month from Iraq, and when I return from Peru, I'll only have 2 weeks to see him, and not a month.

I'll miss my best friend's birthday and I'll miss my school's exams, unless i take it early.

What would you do, if you have been offered to go to Peru for 3 weeks?

I'm unsure, I would love to go, but I feel like I don't deserve it.

My parent's say I do, but I just have doubts.

  1. Go, but try and help out with a money, get a job or something then you won't have to feel guilty

im sure your dad would want you to go, and you still get to see him for 2 weeks, maybe buy him a present for him to get when he returns back to the house.

Good luck to your dad in Iraq

  2. If you pass this chance up you may never get another everybody including your parents will know that. Take this chance while it presents itself it is a beautiful country to visit, I went and I saw some really incredible sights.

  3. Put it this way, you'll learn a foreign language and culture. Plus it may count as credit for college. I mean if my parents would to pay for everything in this travel, i'd definetely go. It might be a chance in a lifetime, and since you're pretty young, take it! If you miss your best friends' birthday for a year, i do not think she'll get that mad. I think she'll understand.
