  3. Perugia is a small hill-town, with a fabulous fortified wall. It has a university for foreigners and another for non-foreigners. My daughter studied there last year, and had a wonderful time. There were lots of places to go at night for young people.

  4. I'm Italian and I can say Perugia isn't a very big city: it's a town over 160'000 people, I think is small for an American... It's the 22th italian city, capital of Umbria. It's medium but wonderful.

  5. I think it is a large city, because it is the capital of Umbria.

  6. small - average

  8. By Italian/European standards, yes; it's large but not big, not a metropolis like Rome, Milan, Turin or Naples; compared to well known cities, Perugia is as big as Pisa and definitely bigger than Siena, while compared to Florence population is less than a half.
