The Delfini President has acknowledged the young midfielder’s heart for Juventus, but maintains that childhood dreams will value little when it comes to transfer business.
President Daniele Sebastiani has revealed that Pescara is not facing any financial difficulties at the moment, and has suggested that the club could choose against selling their prized star Marco Verratti.
The newly promoted outfit is currently in negotiations with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and Juventus to determine the future of the Delfini midfielder, and the possibilities include anything from a loan deal to a swap of a number of players.
Sebastiani stressed that all the Pescara directors agree on the fact that the club is in no dire need to sell its stars, and insisted that Verratti could end up continuing at his current outfit.
The Dolphins boss insisted that it is important for him to put the interests of the club and its fans ahead of everything else, and stated that the financial stability can allow them to decide against making a deal with either club.
The Delfini patron stressed that another important factor for the deal will be the value that they get from the players that are offered for swap from Napoli or Juventus, and insisted that the deal will not go through if the offered talent is not at par with the talent being transferred from Pescara.
While talking to the press, the Biancazzurri chief said:
“Pescara’s directors are Pescara fans and we will not do things to hurt this club. The club is not in financial difficulty and we will not necessarily sell Verratti. If Marco is sold then those that will arrive as part of the deal will compensate at a technical level.”
Marco Verratti has formerly expressed his love for Juventus, stating Bianconeri as the outfit that he has idolized all his life.
Sebastiani was adamant that the decision for the midfielder’s future cannot rest solely on his childhood dream.
The Delfini chief stated that Verratti is destined to play for a big club, and pointed out that beside Juventus, Napoli is also a great club to be a part of.
The Pescara President stated that he and the Dolphins playmaker go a long way back, and insisted that the 19-year-old understands that at this time he can play for any team.
