Pescara deny reports of Marco Verratti’s sale to Juventus

The Delfini sporting director snubs rumours of a co-ownership deal with the Italian giants; insists no contact has been made by the Old Lady.
Pescara sporting director, Daniele Delli Carri, has denied any reports of a deal to sell the young playmaker to Italian giants, Juventus.
Recent media reports have paired Marco Verratti with the Bianconeri, with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming that an agreement has been reached over a €3.5 million co-ownership deal.
The sporting director of the Serie B side has wasted no time to dismiss all speculation about the midfielder’s future, and insists that they have had no negotiations with the Old Lady.
While talking to TMW, the Pescara sporting director said:
“There has never been any negotiation with Juventus.”
Carri went on to confirm that the club is in the process of discussing a new contract with the midfielder, and admitted that a lot of clubs want to sign the budding star. The Delfini official revealed that the lone contact was
from AS Roma, who have not discussed any money as yet.
“The only operation which has been discussed with the player is about a new contract for him. It is clear that there are a lot of clubs who are interested in Verratti, but the only sporting director who has been in touch with us
is Walter Sabatini of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603. We discussed Marco as a player, but we didn’t discuss money.”
The Pescara representative admitted that he enjoys a good rapport with the Bianconeri President and Sporting Director, but the news of any discussions about Verratti is a lie.
“I have an excellent relationship with Juventus, with Beppe Marotta and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Paratici, but I haven’t discussed Verratti with them.”
The young Delfini playmaker recently made his debut for the Italian under-21 team in their 1-1 stalemate with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 on 28th February. Verratti has been has been hailed as a technically gifted playmaker with notable
passing skills, and made his first team debut for Pescara at the age of 16.
The Serie B side have also released a statement on their website dismissing the fake story in Gazzetta dello Sport.
