The Dolphins President has revealed that the French giants have been following the midfielder for quite some time, and all that remains is for the player to agree upon a salary with the Paris outfit.
Italy is set to be deprived of another of their most prized talents, as Pescara have confirmed their deal with Paris Saint-Germain for the highly rated Marco Verratti.
The young playmaker had received a lot of interest from Juventus and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, but a move could not be made possible due to the lack of good money in the proposed deals.
The Dolphins President had already expressed his resentment over the offers from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
Daniele Sebastiani went on to reveal that Paris Saint-Germain have been keeping tabs on the midfielder for quite some time, and stated that all that remains is for the player to agree on terms with the outfit.
While talking to Radio Sportiva, the Pescara Chairman said:
“PSG have always followed Marco and if the player agrees to the move then it will happen. There is already a total agreement between the two clubs. We would have wanted to keep him for another season, but if he accepts Paris SG then that won’t be possible.
That’s why we would have preferred to do a deal with an Italian club.”
The young playmaker was thought to be on his way to Juventus after the Bianconeri explicitly expressed their desire to sign the player, and the Pescara midfielder also publicly stated that he fancies a move to the Italian Champions.
However, the Delfini President had different views about the story, and maintained that the proposed interest from Marco Verratti was exaggerated by the media.
“A mountain was made out of a molehill in terms of the Juventus story. And he never said that he only wanted to join Juve.”
The Corriere dello Sport is claiming that Pescara have agreed a price of €11 million for Verratti, and the budding star is set to be offered a five-year deal worth €1.5m a campaign plus bonuses.
