  1. This is the english language page for the Italian train website. http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html. Most of the trains take 6 to 6 and a half hours. There are a couple of Eurostar connections through Bologna that are about 5 and a half hours. You can check the specific schedules and prices on the site above. The fastest connections run about 54.20 euro, but there may be some seats available at the Amica fare of 43.40 euro. An intercity / regional train combination connecting in Bologna will be 37.20. A direct intercity train is 38.50 euro (28.40 euro if Amica fare is available).

There are some trains for Venice that stop in Pescara very early in the morning (2 or 3 am).

I know there are buses that run from Pescara to Rome or Naples, but I'm not sure they go to Venice. You can check the bus websites here (more than one company), but they are only available in Italian: http://www.arpaonline.com/, http://www.gruppolapanoramica.it/satam.h...

  2. It is easier to quicker to drive from Pesara to Venice than the train. It's about 520 (315 miles)Km up the coast to Bologna to Venice.  Can be driven in less than five hours.

The trains are great but take a little longer.
