I hear an animal in my walls. It sounds like it is scratching my studs or chewin the drywall in inside. It is a significant sound and does not appear to be traveling when the scratching sound is being made. I looked in attic as the sound is always high up by where the wall meets the ceiling but could not find any traces of an animal.

  1. white ant

  2. It could be rats, roof rats in particular.  Does it ever sound like a ball being bounced across your attic?  That's them running.  They will chew on just about anything.

Time to call an exterminator, or go to store and get rat bait.

It could also be mice, but it sounds like roof rats to me.  I've had both of them in the past.  They're all gone now, thankfully.

  3. Rats

  4. Definitely roof rats.  You need to buy traps.  Use peanut butter as bait.  It works great.  You can use poison bait, but you run the risk of having a dead smelly rat to get rid of.

  5. termites

  6. Uh, termites?

    Call a pest control!
