Pet Bird Info. needed on Love Birds. Is it true females will kill their mate after dropping egg?

Female lovebirds will sometimes kill each other, or even a more docile male.  They will also gang up on another lovebird and kill it.  So, I wouldn't be surprised if the answer to your question is "yes".  Lovebirds are very territorial, despite their name.  Sometimes, they'll even harm or kill their own babies for not leaving the nest.  Having more than one would be dangerous unless you have a huge aviary.  If you want a lovebird, get one, and let it bond to you.  I hate to say it, but that's probably true with most birds.

    It's sort of ironic, because these beautiful birds can be deadly, while turkeys (not known for their good looks) are usually much more gentle and affectionate with people.  People who have had pet turkeys usually say that they love them, and are loved back.
