Pet Ducks With Disease?

can you get salmonela poisoning from pet ducks, or really any diseases from them? if we got them would i be okay if i washed my hnds after handeling them? thanks

You can get a lot of disease's from animals including ducks.

If you have pet ducks from the time they're very young and they're not exposed to other wild animals you'll be okay... You don't really need to wash your hands after handling them; just think of them like a baby... You can get sick from them if you handle their p**p and not wash your hands or something but you'll be fine if you don't let them get infected.
