  1. if your sure you want to you can but it may be alot to handle i mean five pets!!! you will need to spend about 130 dollars and they do get big but there not hard to care for and as long as you dont mind giving yuore dog a haircut it should be fine so i hope its not to much to handle and i would never get it but you can if you think your ready

  2. As long as you keep it seperated from your other pets. It could end up eating the bird or guinea pigs when it gets older and your dog could seriously injure or kill it. So when you take it out to handle it make sure your other pets are safely put in another room.

  3. i dont see why not just make sure u wash ur hands after handleing the other animals before handling the snake because he will smell them off u and think ur food not very pleasant beleave me. Other then that it should be fine just dont put the guinea pigs beside the snake cage cause thats asking for trouble ;lol

  4. Well I think you should. A snake and your other pets should really have..sort of...nothing to do with each other unless the snake got out but that shouldn't happen if you have a good lid and hold it often(don't forget to wash your hands!)

I am currently owning 1 small dachshund, 1 hamster, 6 ball pythons, 6 red tail boas, 1 corn snake, 1 king snake, 1 iguana, and I am about to buy 2 rats(as pets)

A ball python should be living in a tank therefore it shouldn't be able to get out and really be near your other pets. And keep it in a different room if you want to be safer. Just do your research on a ball python and see if YOU want the pet. Please don't just buy him/her  then decided that you don't want it anymore. It isn't fair for the snake.

But if I was you, I would go for it! I don't see how owning a snake would affect your other pets. You just have to buy more food so it's just going to add on your pet food list....lol

Well I think you should get one but please don't get one if you have a weird feeling that you might not want it later on. Here is a link about them if you are interested. The links tells you how to take care of them and what you would need in the tank.

Hope this could help a little.

  5. yeah they get big

  6. Yes as long as you can handle there care requirements they are alot easier to care for than dogs and guinea pigs. Ball pythons  don't need to be walked or brushed. Only eat weekly and don't bark or shed on your furniture. All they need is a tank and tank top with clips, hide spot, heat source, and water dish. They don't get very big and are a good beginner snake.

  7. I have a 20 gallon tank, and he is not that big at all. The most they ever get is 6 feet and thats very rare, they grow as much as you feed them. I have 4 dogs, and a bird. i used to have 2 rats and a hamster with the snake too and everything is all good. mine is 5 years old is only 4 feet and skinny. the reason why he stays that way is he only likes to eat 1 medium rat a month. they are good pets and if you just keep it in a tank and away from the other animals (FOR THE SNAKES SAFETY) it will be good!

  8. Why not? I have a kitten whom i am *bottle* feeding and a dog and a 2 year old. he is not a bother. he is awesome with my son.I would make sure you have atleast 30 min a day to hold him. I reccommend atleast 30 a day. If you cant hold him that much then i would not get one. I cant tell you rather you get one or not. Just consider and read up on everything and make sure you have plenty of time and money to properly care for your new snake. Remember they eat atleast a mouse a week. Mine eats 3 mouse a week. Soon to be four. and he is getting out about an hour a night. he also  plays in the lawn outside and swims in my tub once a week.

  9. An adult Ball Python is capable of killing a bird or a guinea pig.

Keep the tank securely locked, so he/she wont escape.

My biggest Ball Python is 6.5ft, but i have never had a problem with her.

  10. No. They get too big.
