Question:

Pet birds are fighting?

I have a few birds and I think they're fighting. I've heard they bond to each other after a while, but it's been a year. I'm pretty sure one bird is a girl, and the other is a boy. Sometimes they randomly just fight, but other times, the boy bows his head at the girl, and the girl will peck him really hard in the back of the head or she'll actually rip a feather from his head. Is that like a mating-rejection thing, or is something else wrong?

  1. It could be "aggressive mating", or playful biting. Unless you see blood or notable bald spots on either of the bird I don't recommend that you separate them, they could be severely dishearted by each other's loss.
