Someone asked this question the other day as to if it was a good idea or not. This was on the news this morning. I thought it was interesting.

Does your city or state have a pet food bank? Do you think it would be a good idea to start one?

  1. In England as far as I'm aware there are no pet food banks. You can donate food at Pets At Home supermarkets though.

  2. I think it's a great idea.

A lot of pet stores and vets surgeries in the UK have donation bins to put food and toys in for local rescue centres, which I think is great, considering the number of animals that are abandoned, they need as much help as possible to feed them all.

  3. I started a pet food bank in Colorado Springs, CO and have helped advise 11 people to start their own program in their city.  It's a definite need and there should be a pet food bank or pantry, within an hour of every city or town.  For more information about the program I started, see the Pikes Peak Pet Pantry's link below.

  4. I don't think our B-O-R-I-N-G town has one. People would probably just donate stuff directly to the animal shelter.

That would be so fun to start one! Hmmm... A Pet thrift Store! That would be awsome!
