Pet hair vacuum?

I'm looking for a vacuum that won't plug up and will do good on pet hair, really good. I have heard the dyson isn't so good. and I'm hoping to not spend more then 150.

I own a Dyson Animal with special attachment for vacuuming pet hair off furniture.  It's worked well for me, and it is very easy to clean.  It does run $400+.

If pet hair has looped itself into the upholstery fabric, put on a rubber glove and rub the furniture in a circular fashion.  Sometimes low tech gives the best solution.

I have a Kirby, but I really love my bag less $50.00 vac.  I have a shepherd and he sheds all year.  So I can't see paying a lot for a vac.  But this bag less one does the trick, actually it's my best friend.

The Oreck Vaccuum is wonderful.  It's pricey but worth it in the long run.  Great on pet hair.  

And it is also very lightweight.
