Pet odor and vinegar?

i have heard alot about people using vinegar to get rid of pet urine smells....does this work??? can i mix the vinegar with baking soda in the carpet cleaner?? can i mix it with my other steam cleaning chemical??? Is this safe to use where my pets are going to be?? thanks!

I use vinegar mixed with water 50/50 in a spray bottle and spray a little on the carpet. then I wipe it with a cloth.

I have used vinegar and water but it hasnt helped all my pets accidents.  I have 4 pets:) For spot cleaning I found a product called Natures Miracle and it works on every accident every time!! Even odors and stains that had been there awhile it worked on.  You can buy it at petsmart and petco.  I do not mix this one with my steam cleaning chemicals though.  I have another favorite for that :)  (Alot of stains lol)  The product i mix with my steam cleaner is called Simple Solution and I will put that directly in my rug doctor with the rug doctor carpet cleaner and it also works like a charm.

vinegar reali works.  Sometimes it helps to corrode the dirt making a sizzling sound.  very very useful!!!  I recommand you will juz mix the vinegar with water.  Cuz we will nvr know if too much of mixing causes chemical reaction that might be deadly for animals.  So play safe
