Pet problem..?

Question

i have a chicken, and she was killed by my dog, and she has 5 babies, i took pity on the babies because they have no mother anymore and what will i do to make the chicks comfortable?

I am now in great sorrow because my favorite pet, a chicken, her name is Fleshy, is now dead....I was crying when i am typing this one...

im sorry for ur loss but make sure chicks are always warm and maybe snuggly in a blanket... or could find another mother for them ...

I am sorry for your loss.

Baby chickens dont need their mother like mammals or other birds do. They will learn to eat from watching other chickens. Give them some crushed up food and they should instinctively pick at it. It is important to keep them in some sort of incubator or on a heating pad until they lose the baby fuzz or they will freeze.

Maybe you could get an adult chook to watch over the chicks, like there mother did. Fantoms are good mothers and are very protective of their babies!!
