Pet sitting on the weekends?

I am a 23 year old college student. I want to do a little petsitting on the weekends but I don't want it to be a professional job or anything like that. Am I supposed to pay taxes on it? Would I have to still get insurance?

  1. You would not get Insurance.

  2. Well, when you are asked to babysit for someone you don't have to pay taxes on it or pay for insurance. The only time you have to do that is if its a day care center or a licensed service like that. I'm guessing that dog sitting would be the same way. As long as its not an actual business, but simply just sitting for people in your neighborhood, then you should be fine.
