hey guys,

im looking for a pet store in egypt that would sell me a kitten thats 2 weeks old or less..

the problem is, i went to yellowpages.com and it only had 3 listings..and when i called the three they said they dont sell cats under 1 month old because any younger and they will "DIE" from u..but thats not true with me cuz i know everything to take care of a newborn kitten and ive done it before...

so i just want to know if there is any place in cairo, egypt that would sell a kitten thats like from 0-14 days old...

  1. I'm Sure That the Kitties Would Require Breastfeeding From Their Mother

  2. Im with ather, but maybe u know someone who have cats and breeding them, and trust u, so he can give u one of the kittens when she gave birth r allow u to visit and watch the kitten till she can handle itself away from the mom

  3. That would be cruel to take a kitten from its mother from under 6 weeks old as they need not only the benefit of their mothers milk but learn socialisation skills from Mum, including interaction skills from being around their brothers and sisters. They get vital antibodies from the mothers milk to help build their immune system. A kitten taken so young is likely to die.

There are lots of cats in the street in desperate need of love and care. Pet shops trading in animals are deplorable in such  countries really when cats in the street go hungry and need tender care and love.

“The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said : If someone kills a sparrow for sport, the sparrow will cry out on the Day of Judgment "O Lord ! That person killed me in vain ! He did not kill me for any useful purpose."

God’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) also commanded that birds’ nests should not be disturbed, or the eggs or chicks stolen.

There is a story about one occasion when he ordered someone who had filled his bag with fledglings stolen from nests and brought them to the town to return them to their nests immediately. The young birds were thus able to grow to maturity in natural surroundings in their mothers’ nests. There are other such stories.

Reflect on these stories because they can be extended to other animals also. Taking a kitten so young would be cruel to kitten and Mum also. How about rescuing an unwanted cat. There are cat/animal rescue centres or charities in Egypt I think. Someone else on here may be able to advise you better. I just ran a search and found this website for you:

S.P.A.R.E (Society of Protecting Animal Rights in Egypt).

The trading in pets promotes more unwanted animals, many of which could end up in the streets, sadly.

I am sorry if this is not the answer you were looking for.
