Question:

Peta, cruel treatment of animals?

Everyone who is opposed to the awful treatment of innocent animals being so abused just for humans to eat, (some people will not stop eating "meat") how about going to work, full force on the slaughter house rules. And the treatment of our defenseless animals before they are murdered. Trying to make it as humane as possible.

  1. What's the question here buddy?

  2. I've always felt that the WSPA and SPCA have a much more reasonable agenda that I can support.

Push cruelty-free food (reasonable), and work to encourage spaying/neutering of domestic animals, and question the use of animals for entertainment purposes.

Don't kill animals for sport (I have no drama with someone who kills an animal for the express purpose of feeding himself and his family) or for "recreation".

Food, however, is difficult.  Without it, people will die.  Given that there are people who are currently without food in Canada and America (and much of world, sadly), there needs to be ways to ensure this does not happen.

  3. what are you trying to ask? Are asking if PETA treats animals badly? They are for helping animals if that is your question...

  4. I support my local  ASCPA .... the quicker they can inject these freaking homeless dogs and cats the better !!!

Now I need to finish my burger and bucket of chicken .........

    yum yum yum yum yum

  5. Actually they do.

They actually just made a big change in the way KFC in Canada kills it's chickens. Chickens must now be treated much more humanly, and gassed instead of having their throats cut.

  6. PETA won't take on the slaughterhouses directly because it is not prudent to physically attack people with butcher knives, chainsaws, hooks etc. That's why PETA won't protest Tyson Foods or Pilgrim's Pride directly either. Their facilities are near towns where the people are violently anti-PETA. They would rather protest families or individuals ahving a simple meal isntead of facing the actual butchers.

Unfortunately, you will find excuse after excuse from paid PETA hacks or supporters in this forum. It's a stock phrase answer that PETA press releases also say.

As for thinking tghat PETA people actually work?? That is funny. No glitz, no glamour, no PETA.

PETA boss Ingrid Newkirk on PETA's press strategy"

"PETA's publicity formula -- eighty percent outrage, ten percent each of celebrity and truth."

What can you expect from a group that relies on 10 percent  truth??

  7. whats the question?

  8. no Peta dose not hurt animals Peta is all about helping hurt animals, here are there sites - "peta.com" and "peta2.com" for teens

  9. PETA can't enforce slaughterhouse regulations, unfortunately. PETA's a nonprofit organization; it doesn't have control over animal welfare laws and regulations.

PETA does conduct undercover investigations of slaughterhouses and then pressures the government to take action. Recently, North Carolina officials filed cruelty-to-animals charges following a 2007 PETA undercover investigation that documented horrific abuse at a pig farm. You can read more about this news here: http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/smith...

PETA also uses its investigative footage to pressure companies to improve their animal welfare standards. KFC Canada recently agreed to PETA's demands and will only buy meat from suppliers that use Controlled Atmosphere Killing (the least cruel form of slaughter ever developed).

  10. Why don't you talk to your senator or something instead of typing unforgivably vacuous and incoherent posts on Yahoo Answers?

God I hate you people. For every animal you don't eat, I'll eat three.

Please don't breed. I'll even neuter you myself if you like.

  11. i wouldn't be surprised if they went and slaughtered the staff at a slaughter house, after all. according to PeTa animal life is more important than human life, a quote from the president of Peta says " even if animal testing came up with a cure for AIDS we would still be against it. in other words, mice are more important then every person who has AIDS. they also believe in not controlling pests. if we don't kill them, they will ruin our food, make us sick, and cause problems and possible DEATH. if Peta got its way we would never fish, what would happen to all the small islanders who live off the fish? THEY WOULD DIE. all in all Peta is so hated because they are elitest scum who see animals over people.

you know what also bugs me? 84% of animals recieved by Peta are euthanized, without Peta even attempting to have them adopted. you know what i think Peta stands for? People euthanizing thousands of (innocent, perfectly healthy) animals. don't believe me? check out the links below.
