Pete (Indonesian) or Sator (Stink Bean!??) Really?

What is up with this? Is it a bean or a veggie or what?

I love this in MANY Indonesian dishes.. But the next day my mouth and breath, smell like it (YES, I brush) My ummm Urine and Stool smell like it... and HECK even my "Berkentut" smells like it! I am addicted to this.. but WHAT am I eating and HOW do you "control" the after effects of eating this lovely food?

  1. Pete is one of my fave bean (or veggie?). However, with it comes the after effect you so correctly described. I can't do anything about it though. But to lessen the effect, bring your mouth wash & mini air fresehener wherever you go into the public or you own rest room... :-p


  2. After eating you can take some Activated Charcoal and Green Chrlophyll. This will reduce body odor.

  4. Aha, u r addicted to pete? it is a kind of fruit. The thumb-size one is really awards you that after effects, and you cannot avoid it. But it does not make your mouth and breath smell more than ur urine and "kentut". Just brush exactly after eating.

    There is another one which does not smell, they call it pete cina (means chinese pete). You better try it.
