Peter Anders set to shine at Kempton – Maiden Stakes Preview
Peter Anders is going to break his maiden by finishing first in the 32red.Com Maiden Stakes which will take place at Kempton racecourse on Thursday, March 29.
The Class 5 contest over 1m Standard distance is scheduled to commence at 7:55 (GMT). The total prize money reserved for the event is £2,264.
Peter Anders is all ready to browbeat his eight rivals including Bornholm, Dartford, Grey Mirage, Navaho Spirit, Red Ramesses, Saharan Air, Tom Red and Trend Is My Friend.
The Mark Johnston-trained bay colt excellently finished fifth in his maiden race on September 28, 2011. He moved forward to notch up third top spot in the very next outing on October 24.
The three-year-old novice runner superbly performed in his last start on November 1 and clinched a runner-up rank. He was 8/11 favourite for that contest.
These three epic performances have hiked the dashing colt’s confidence to a great extent along with making him a blue eyed runner of the punters who are investing heavily on him.
Johnston too seems to be confidence enough about his pupil’s maiden triumph. Thus, Peter Anders is carrying a huge burden of expectations and hopes.
If the dashing sprinter manages to capitalise well on his capabilities, his chances to finish first in the race can be as high as 90 percent.
Among the other runners, Dartford and Navaho Spririt will also struggle hard for success.
Dartford made his debut on November 19, 2011 and grabbed fifth position in his maiden race. The trainee of John Gosden went on to stand third in the second and last outing of his career on March 7, 2012.
On the other hand, Navaho Spirit excellently gained third top spot in his maiden race on September 7, 2011. The Terry Clement-trained gelding finished fifth in his last outing on March 10, 2012.
Thus, there is expected a rip-roaring competition at Kempton track today. The race will be packed with twists and turns. Let us enjoy the heated action and see who of the above three runners succeeds in breaking his maiden. Good luck to all.
