Peter Hill-Wood believes Robin Van Persie will extend stay at Arsenal
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 will extend his stay at the Emirates.
The strikers contract is set to run out in a year and so far, there have been no talks over a potential extension on his stay with the club.
The forward has time and time again gone on to state that he wishes to wait for the right time to decide what he wants for his future.
Hill-Wood on the other hand, remains adamant over the fact that the striker is more than just happy at the club and that it is only a matter of time before the striker puts pen to paper, on a new contract with the team.
Hill-Wood is quoted to have said:
“I think Robin wants to stay"
"He seems very happy.”
However, he soon went on to confirm that nothing had been finalized or discussed as yet, since the player was still in a phase, where he doesn’t want to talk about a new contract.
"Nothing has been discussed, though it is obvious we want him to stay. He doesn't want to talk about a contract now and that's fine with us."
Arsenal have already gone on to cash in on a number of their players, who were nearing the end of their stay at the Emirates. The most recent player to walk out of the team, is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360. The midfielder went on to join Manchester City, as he chose to leave
the team, instead of stick around at the club.
However, with Van Persie being a crucial part of the team, the Gunners just won’t be able to afford letting the player leave the team under any circumstance.
The striker has been scoring goals for fun this season and seems to be on his way to setting a new record for most goals scored in a single year.
Apart from that, the way the striker controls the team and manages to get everyone to perform at their best is rather brilliant.
It is now a matter of time, before the striker ends up deciding what to do with his future.
