http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Odemwingie-c29794 hints at West Brom exit for bigger club – Premier League Update
Peter Odemwingie was quite possibly the best player on display for West Brom last season. The forward came into the side and went on to cause havoc for his sides opposition as he scored fifteen goals in thirty two appearances for the club.
The striker was initially being regarded as a major gamble, considering he had spent his past few years in the Russian league and hence it was assumed that he would struggle to cope with life in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
However, with the performances that he put in, in his debut season for the club, he went on to win over almost every West Brom fan, as well as gaining a number of admirers from across the globe.
On the down side, as a result of his performances with West Brom, the forward was starting to get linked with a move away from the team.
Nonetheless, the striker has gone on to dismiss those rumours and has stated that he would only leave the club, should a bigger team come around looking for him.
When addressing his fans via his twitter account, Odemwingie is quoted to have said: “To my dear WBA supporters. I love this club and will only leave to a TOP team, which is understandable.”
He then went on to add:
“Nothing abnormal is going on.”
Odemwingie then finally went on to state that the only reason he had not signed the contract yet, was because he was waiting to see if a bigger club would come in and make a move for him.
“Contract is not signed because of the duration of it. Figures were agreed a long time ago because I know this is not Real Madrid. Please be patient.”
The striker is currently set to face a pay raise. The player is going to receive a pay hike somewhere in the region of twenty five thousand pounds and that is a big thing to do, for a club like West Brom.
The forward, who is now thirty years old, has had his issues with injuries in the past and is currently recovering from an ankle knock. However, he feels that he is going to be fit for his team’s game this coming Saturday and when talking about the upcoming
game, he is quoted to have said:
“Started running today. Optimistic and I think I’ll be ok for Saturday with a bit of magic from the doctor.”
At the moment, the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Tottenham and Sunderland are being reported to show signs of interest in the forward.
