Peter Siddle leads Victoria to big win over South Australia in Sheffield Shield
Victoria thrashed http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Australia-c844 (SA) by 194 runs in a Sheffield Shield match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Monday. SA required 379 runs for victory, but were bowled out for just 194 on the final day of play.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Smith-c1654 and Daniel Harris started the run chase for their team, but they were unable to handle the pressure and kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Smith was the first man to be dismissed after scoring just 11 runs. His wicket brought Nathan
Lyon to the crease, who was sent in as a night watchman. However, the move didn’t work for SA, as Lyon got out without adding any run to the total.
The fall of two quick wickets brought http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Aiden-Blizzard-c958 then walked out to the middle and looked comfortable at the crease.
He along with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Daniel-Harris-c1310 put together a good partnership for the fourth wicket, and took the score over the 100-run mark.
Just when things were starting to look good for SA, Blizzard gave his wicket away. He scored 22 runs in his stay at the crease, but he would have liked to get a big score for his team. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tom-Moffat-c2701 then came out to bat with his team struggling at 106 for the
loss of four wickets. The middle-order batsman looked solid and provided some support to Harris, who was batting really well.
Moffat got out after adding 26 runs to the total to leave his team in trouble. He got a start in the first innings as well, scoring 25 runs, but failed to capitalise twice in this match.
Wicketkeeper batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Graham-Manou-c1504 didn’t last long as well, as he got out after scoring just six runs. His wicket was followed by that of Harris, who played brilliantly for his team. The veteran batsman scored 96 runs, but his effort went in vain as the
other batsmen didn’t support him at all. With the departure of Harris, it was just a matter of time before SA got bowled out.

dismissed three batsmen.
