The German international claims that a reunion with the Bavarians is uncertain as the forward has joined Werder Bremen on a season-long loan deal.
Nils Petersen, the former Energie Cottbus striker, has suggested that he might have played his last match at the Allianz Arena. He said that there is a possibility that he will end his Bayern career after the 2012-13 season on
definite terms.
The youngster joined FC Hollywood in the summer of 2011 from Energie Cottbus. He was unable to make a name for himself at his new club, the following season. Therefore, the forward was loaned to Die Grun-WieBen in 2012 as he failed
to prove his worth to the Die Bayern.
The striker also signed a contract extension until 2015 for Der FCB before moving to the Die Werderaner on a short-term basis. The German player will head back to Die Roten on 30 June but his long term future remains unclear.
"It states in the contract that I will transfer back on 30 June, but where I will play in a year's time is dependent on many factors," Petersen was quoted as saying on the official Werder website.
Petersen only wants to focus on the upcoming season and is not giving any thoughts to what will happen in 2013 when his loan deal expires. He said that he is determined to bag as much goals as possible.
"Therefore I am not even thinking about next year. My wish is to score as many goals as possible. That is also a factor that has a big influence," he stated.
The goals part will be the deciding factor as that will increase his value as a player. It will increase the number of suitors interested in signing him. He claimed that if he is able to score at least five goals then he will secure
his future by staying with Bremen or joining another team. This will help him forget his Munich disappointment.
"If I only score five goals this season then I don't need to go back to Bayern. Then I can delete Munich from my GPS," the striker concluded.
The young striker scored twice in nine Bundesliga matches in the previous season for Bayern Munich. The main reason for his switch to Bremen was the limited number of opportunities along with being down the pecking order behind
