Because i live in an appartment and i want a small bunny period. Don't argue with me. But the only thing i can find is in conneticut, i can't seem to find any in massachusetts or anywhere else near me. Please help. Also, if you're not going to answer to me anything helpful, then don't answer at all. Thanks.

  1. There has to be several petstores around you that carry dwarf bunnies. In every pet store i go to, there are dwarf bunnies.

  2. If you are looking for a breeder petfinder is not the place to go.  It is rescues and shelters not breeders.  Try searching <breed you are interested in> breeders in RI on google if you are looking for a breeder.  If you want  to rescue try searching rabbit rescue in RI.  They may have rabbits they don't have listed on petfinder also just search for rabbits by your zip on petfinder and try contacting the rescues that come up.  Many rabbits are mixed breed and/or misidentifed and they may be able to pair you up with a dwarf rabbit that was not listed or was mis-labled.

  3. http://www.rirabbits.org/  The Rhode Island Chapter of the House Rabbit Society

    http://www.mahouserabbit.org/ The Massachusets Chapter.

One of these should have what you are looking for.

  4. If you do want to go through Petfinder, lots of the rescues and shelters there will help with transportation. Some will drive halfway and meet you, others even have volunteers that will bring the pet all the way. Especially with non-shelter rescue organizations, they're very invested in finding homes for their animals and they'll put in a lot of effort to place them. CT and RI aren't too far - I live in CT and the drive isn't bad. Just contact them and show that you're interested.

Also - I know you said not to argue with the "small bunny" part, but if space is the issue, remember that smaller rabbits are usually more active and need even more space than larger rabbits! That said, dwarf bunnies are great - I have one myself. He was a rescue, not from a breeder, and I'm his second home. He settled in very well and I'm glad I didn't have to deal with his "adolescent" period. You might want to consider an adult rabbit since most of them have gotten past their destructive stage. Landlords don't take too kindly to rabbits chewing at the woodwork...and I know this from experience!

  5. Ditto disco. If you think a smaller breed rabbit needs less space, it is quite the opposite. They are more active and hyper than larger breed rabbits so they need MORE space.

They tend to be inbred and are more prone to health problems like maloclussion. Larger breed or normal rabbits are more calm and actually better pets since they sit still for pets more.
