Former Gunner, Emmanuel Petit has gone on to insist that Arsenal would have made a massive mistake, had they gone on to let go of Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal kicked of the current season on an all time low, as the team seemed like it was a mere shadow of its former self.
The Gunners found it hard to win any game and seemed like they might even finish in the bottom half of the table.
During all this chaos, many believed that it was time for Wenger to leave, given his inability to guide the team to the top of the table, while failing to win a trophy with the team for another season.
However, Petit has gone on to insist that letting go of Wenger would have been the biggest mistake that the team could have made and that the club would have severely regretted the decision.
When talking about Wenger and just how important he is to Arsenal, the former Gunner is quoted to have said: "Sacking Wenger would have been the biggest mistake Arsenal could have made"

"Arsene Wenger's contribution to the Premier League is huge. Football has changed so much in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, Arsene has been part of that.”
"He is like the stone of Arsenal, if you kick him out you don't know where they will go.”

At the same time, he also went on to highlight the fact that the Gunners needed to start winning some trophies, in order to restore their reputation around the world.
He then went on to add: "But I do hope Robin will stay. I would understand it if he left because players like him need titles on their CV.”
"Arsenal have to pay the loans back but if you want to fight for titles, you need to find the right mix.”
