  1. An American citizen can petition his wife.  It takes over 2 years.  Your husband cannot sponsor your dad.  You can but ONLY after you are a US citizen.  As a green card holder you cannot petition or sponsor anybody.  You have to be a citizen.  You can apply for citizenship after living in the US for 3 years consecutive.  Then if you petition your dad it will take a lot longer than it took for you because parents are a lower priority than a wife.  Its not likely that your dad would be given a tourist visa if he has a daughter already living in USA.  You could try it but it won't happen.

  2. Your parents could seek a tourist visa to the US, but the embassy will likely deny the visa if they learn your parents have children residing in the US.  THe embassy will disquality your parents if they have anyone who is willing to pay for their expenses in the US, as tourists should have enough funds, and a well enough paying job to come to the US on their own.

A tourist is not sponsored, and when they are the embass in PI usually deny's the visa.

But once you are a citizen you have a right to petition you parents to the US.  So if they do get a tourst visa be sure to make them follow the rules and return home so as not to interfere with their petition and subsequent citizenship.

  3. It's possible if you become a US citizen. I don't think in-laws can petion their in-laws?

  4. the moment you become an immigrant(green card), you could petition your parents.  if your father is not a holder of a united states tourist visa then your father has to stay until his immigrant visa is approved.  children petitioning parents could take up to six months up to two years at most.  if it goes beyond two years, then it means you have some problems.  it is easier and simpler to petition blood relatives.
