Petitioning local authority for more facilities for teenagers...?

I had a meeting with local councillors regarding getting more facilities for teenagers in the area. I was told to get a group of people together and draft a constitution. I have no experience in these matters, where can I find a template constitution as a starting point please?

  1. This just goes to show that they are more interested in blaming the youth of today than helping , why not work with you and others like you to help in this instead of fobbing you off

  2. That's you being fobbed off big time.

They must know that teenagers don't have the knowledge and experience to do that.

Go to your local councillor personally and has for his support. Then go through each dept connected with leisure and young people until you get help

  3. could the council not advise you on that. They are the best people to start with. Their legal department surely would help

  4. Your own council should have a department that will offer suggestions.

Failing that go to the CAB

  5. I'd buy more tasers, to use ON them ,lol

  6. Local authorities can't afford to pay for youth services because no-one wants to pay Council Tax.  This is just a method of putting you off.  A penny put off to next year is a penny saved.

Contact the National Association of Clubs for Young People and they will send you a pack for leaning on local authorities. http://www.clubsforyoungpeople.org.uk/
