Question:

Petitions to change policies...?

Personally, I do not believe in the power of petitions. Money is a motivator. Petitions only offer temporary good favor. Good favor isn't a motivator in a society that believes the customer is always wrong and should be treated like a criminal.

Does anyone believe in the power of the petition any more? (for significant change) If so, why?

  1. Petitions are rarely any good. Only if you are collecting signatures of registered voters to put some issue on a ballot. That's about it.

  2. The power is in recall elections,

  3. Yes. But Hand Written letters work even better.  Petitions work, but it is only 1 tool.
