Question:

Petitions to keep Starbucks stores open: Craziness or Caffeine Addiction?

I read in the Wall Street Journal that there are groups around the country circulating petitions and calling Starbucks' headquarters trying to stop them from closing stores. Are they insane? Coffee is NOT that important. I think it's ridiculous! They have more than enough stores - for example, Chicago and NY: you can't walk 5 city blocks without finding at least THREE or more Starbucks stores. I think it's insanity. Do you think it's time they closed, or are you sad?

  1. Starbucks doesnt even have good coffee. And its crazy expensive.

Ill take caffine pills thanks, .05 CENTS

Thats right folks... point o five cents a pill

each pill = cup and a half of coffee.

Doesn't stain your teeth and make your breath stink either

  2. Doesn't bother me one way or another:) .... except for the employees who will be out of work......

  3. Evidently I have a life, because Starbucks is the last thing on my mind---and I am a coffee drinker!

  4. Craziness.

Those people act like Starbucks is the only Coffee in their area.

    Well its most likely not.

With their prices being extremely high, they should atleast close most of their stores considering they are everywhere especially in New York City.

I can't imagine the NYC Starbucks being very busy at all.

  5. I feel bad that people are losing jobs, but there are way to many Starbucks in my area. There are 4 different stores in a 2 block area. Just ridiculous.

  6. It's OK as long as they keep some open.

  7. It's really just a publicity stunt to get more attention to their brand. It is definitely a case of caffeine addiction.
