Petr laid the foundation of his dominance straight away in the beginning of the first set and enjoyed the upper hand all the way to final moments of the tussle.
He launched a brisk attack and confined his rival in the rear court by dominating overall pace of the establishing rallies.
Though, he lost focus in the middle of the set which allowed the opposing shuttler to narrow the gap but later part of the game belonged to Petr who blew his competitor away with an impressive knock of 21-17.
The second set was filled with lot of sensation as at one stage the Czech shuttler was in strong position to transform his initial lead into a straight-set win but then Patrick Kaemnitz struck hard and tipped the scale in his favour.
The German campaigner looked a bit confused after the first set loss but he did not take much time to come out of this phase.
