Spectators, fans and media voted nine players for several awards categories. Doubles team of the year award was clinched by the team of Kveta Peschke & Katarina Srebotnik. Sabine Lisicki was awarded Comeback Player of the Year while Irina-Camelia Begu was
picked as the Newcomer of the Year. These awards were chosen by several media representatives after in-depth consultation and analysis of every player’s performance throughout the year.
Players voted Francesca Schiavone as the best Player Service provider while the favourite premier tournament was selected to be the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, contested in Stuttgart and Favourite International Tournament was chosen to be Abierto Mexicano

Fans selected Agnieszka Radwanska as the Favourite player of the year and the team of Victoria Azarenka & Maria Kirilenko to be the Favourite doubles team of the year. These awards were conducted in the most esteemed arena of St. Petersburg, Florida, USA.
All the players enjoyed the ceremony but pick of the players that rocked the show by single-handedly winning four major awards was 21-year-old Czech Petra Kvitova. She was voted ‘Player of the year’ and ‘Most Improved Player of the Year’ by the media representative
while she was also awarded Fan Favourite Breakthrough Player of the year by tennis fanatics all over the globe. She was also awarded Karen Krantzcke Sportsmanship Award, which acknowledges a player's professionalism, attitude and sense of fair play.
World No.2, Petra Kvitova, was extremely ecstatic by winning multiple awards and ending one of her best years of her career on a cracking note. She talked to the attendants at the ceremony and showed her delight in following words “This season has been simply
a dream. It is an incredible honour to win the Player of The Year award and join the ranks of some of the best players that have ever played the sport, especially Martina Navratilova. I will always cherish the 2011 season and look forward to building on it."
She has been one of the most prolific performers this year adding six titles to her tally including first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon and the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships. She started the year as World No.34 and climbed up her way on to World No.2
making her competitor’s life as hard as she could at tennis courts.
Kvitova finished the year with a cracking victory at TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships and looks to resume her form next season and snatch World No.1 spot from Danish Caroline Wozniacki.
