Question:

Petrol Prices - Do you really think they are unfailr?

Look at the facts - Petrol is still the cheapest liquid sold. People are happy to spend $2.50 - $4 for a bottle of water which you can get from the tap for free - but complain about the ever increasing price of petrol which has reached a max of about $1.50 a litre at times in some area's.

Lets say your car uses 1 litre for every 10 kilometers of travel. At $1.50 a litre, it is costing you 15 cents per kilometer. Do you really think there is still any cheaper method of travel for the ease of it? i mean sure you could ride a bike, but it would take you far longer. Public transport is not always reliable either.

Oil is running out - and with the decreasing supply and increasing demand, the price will continue to rise. We will eventually run out, some predict in a matter of years.

Do you really think we're paying too much for petrol now? What are your thoughts?

  1. yeah we are paying WAY too much. I saw a video on you tube after hurricane katrina that show gas stations with $6.00 dollars a gallon. Thats just crazy!!!!!

  2. i dont think wer paying too much.

yeah its really expensive and it puts heaps of pressure on my family, but we have to face facts, its running out so its gonna be expensive.

maybe this is gonna put more pressure on the alternative transport industry. different ways of powering cars, that work, hav already been developed. but ppl just cant be bothered to change.

wev already bought a more fuel efficient desiel, but even thats not as effiecient as we could be.

the fuel prices need to be that high if ppl are gonna wake up to what wer doing to it our planet.

  3. In my region, we pay on average $3.24 per gallon, for the cheap stuff. We rely on what the corporate guys tell us about oil being in short supply.  I believe we have a very hefty supply and we are being told otherwise in order for the BIG BUSINESS to keep on being BIG BUSINESS.  We once relied on horses for transportation, we may have to again.  I don't relish the idea of being bullied by anyone, BIG BUSINESS or anyone else.  So, to answer your question, I fully believe that the prices are very unfair.  With the rise in gas prices, we are also seeing a rise in the prices of groceries, fertilizers, etc.  The excuses I hear about the price gouging is due to the fact of rising gas prices.  UNFAIR.

  4. Of course it is over priced you seem to be the only person on the planet who has not yet realised this.
