I just heard today in the media that petrol prices will sky rocket to $8 a litre by 10 2018.

I am furious at this. How are we supposed to go to work and eat and live?

Honestly if i see this, i'm quitting my job and going on the dole, no work, less money and no petrol to put up with it.. i think that every one should protest against this and threaten to quit work if petrol ever rises this quickly.. then we'll see what the government thinks about its oil.. it can find oil in other places.. ive heard that recently they found traces of oil in the ground in some other country.. whats taking their sweet a$$ time getting it? i think the government is all playing us.. AND TAX I ALMOST FORGOT, THEY SEE HOW BAD PETROL PRICES ARE.. WELL GET RID OF THE TAX EINSTIEN!

Honestly we are run by a society of jokers.

  1. You are looking well in to the future 2018????

Are you sure you will reach there? Let see we will talk again in 2018 if we both reach there. It's if God wishes.

  2. society isn't run by jokers it is lived in by jokers the $8 tag they have estimated is just a calculation based on the rate is is rising at the moment in ten years we will have better ways to power our cars and everything else and we will not be paying $8 for petrol, and maybe if you are going to use media as a source do some research and find out which country the oil is found in and why they can't remove it there's a reason, most people now are trying to see well into the future and are trying to find new ways to produce things that help the environment and we want to cut the amount of fuel used not keep it at the current rate so stop thinking about yoursself you selfish pancake and think of your environment and the environment your leaving behind

  3. Go on the dole???......the way things are going in this country there might not be any dole to go on to..........! Used to be at 16y. of age...now 21...next??  NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. if you're on the dole in Australia, you've got some issues to deal  with -there's jobs everywhere and as for the dole, how else could the govt pay you if they didnt impose taxes ?

if petrols a problem, get public transport ?

the more people that do this will affect the performance of the oil co

  5. i wouldn't get too stressed yet.

if you do some research into the dole i'm pretty sure you won't want to go on it.  i'm currently on sickness benefits which is the same amount as the dole and i get about $428/ fortnight-  would you really choose to be in a position where each week after rent and car payments (might have to get rid of it anyway) you have $23 left to live off?

the world will never be fair to everyone.

  6. If you don't want to buy petrol, don't buy it.

  7. welcome to the real world.

  8. They will think of some other fuel. They being scientists. It is their job to sort out the stupid messes we all make, even though they have been warning us not to for decades. It will probably be a hydrogen car or something. God bless scientists, where would we be without them? Probably in a cave banging two rocks together.

  9. Well hopefully it wont get like that, i think the government will have hard time if it ever gets like that, in nz they are paying $2.20 in the smaller towns, us over in auz are pretty lucky really, i think people these days are really considering buying cheaper and fuel effient cars. (excuse the spelling)

and hopefully we can still live.

i know i will be buying a smaller car in the future and thats good on petrol, my V6 at the moment is costing me a S**t load to run because of the way i drive it.

    we will survive.

  10. hey how about instead of whinging and whining about it ... we all put our heads together and start thinking of ways we can adjust our lives so that the cost of petrol DOESN'T affect us .. as in we USE LESS OF IT...

it would be better for the environment.....

consider that it has only really been 100 yrs that mankind has become *ADDICTED* to using oil.....

we need to change our ways ... then the price won't matter to us as much....

  11. Yeah but I mean, considering the earth is not doing to flash, I think there are more important things than the cost of petrol.

Looks like you have to find an alternative...and how selfish of you to say you would quit everything just for that.

Grow up. Also I don't think it would get up to $8 a litre.  Its just Media hype using calculations of what it is like right now with prices.
