  1. yes, a year would give water the chance to get in there, which could hurt your engine.  also, fuel does slowly break down, so if you did not pour in any preventative additives last year, the fuel will have broken down some.  don't bother adding anything now, it can't fix the fuel.  your best bet is to add some fresh fuel in and maybe pour in some combustion aids to reduce particulate formation in your fuel chamber.

  2. definately it does, you need to add sta-bil to the gas to keep it good longer, the gas they are making today starts going bad in about 4 months.

  3. yes , you will get a gum build up in carbs and fuel tanks it may still run  but will start to get hard to start on stale fuel

  4. yes but it will still work

  5. Yes.  See, Petrolium products are highly hygroscopic, i.e., they suck up water like crazy.  Plus, they do degrade and turn into a highly flammable form of varnish.  Yes, it WILL still burn in your engine, judt no where near as effectivly as before.  A petrolium additive can help extend the life of fuel whilst it sits in the tank if the directions are followed.

  6. gos stale but still burns just not as good
