Petrol in NSW, Australia?

I live in Port Macquarie in New South Wales. The petrol prices here are incredibly high! Seriously, the prices are HUGE!

What are other people's point of views?

I think its ridiculous.

  1. yeah, i lived near coffs harbour (big banana place) until recently. The prices are quite high, although often 45 minutes down the road the prices would be significantly lower (10-20c/L cheaper at times). However, i moved to singapore recently and its even more expensive, so i suppose we cant complain.

  2. I'm in Coffs Harbour too, we seem to have got stuck on the NSW coast for some reason! I paid 159 a litre yesterday but I don't buy the stuff with ethanol in it, as it nearly wrecked my car the only time I tried it.

They are paying far more for petrol in the UK if that's any comfort! What makes me mad is reading all the whining on here from spoiled Americans who think their prices are high.

Edit, one and a half hours to Port? How fast do you drive?!! Don't answer that! (takes me two hours)

  3. last week in Sydney it was $1.65 today it was $1.57 they are calling that a discount price what a joke.
