  1. No way, the oil industry currently has the most challenges (technical, polital and societal). It is probably the most important and interesting industry out there. It uses some of the most advanced technology in the world (rivals the space mission), anyone who works upstream (exploration/drilling etc.) or downstram (refinig/petrochemicals) see the value and challenges associated with this resource, there are huge benefits to working in the oil industry, mainly career development (training, hands on learning) and salary, not to mention you will be surrounded by highly qualified and experienced people all the time, and that environment will help you advance much quicker. I am not involved in electronics so I cannot comment on it, but I believe petroleum engineering has some great choices for your future - oil companies usually hire top sudents so study hard!! Good luck!
