Petroleum or Embassies?

Question

I am in Africa. Does it worth it to leave my current employment in an american petroleum company to go to work to the American Embassy in the capital city (I don't live in the capital, so if I accept the job, am gonna have to move there). No difference of salary and job (accounting). But what is more secure? Where can I improve better?

I would stay away from Cities and specially Embassies.

Too much crime in one, and too many risks in the other, plus, you are not gaining anything in this, so why make so many changes in your life for nothing ?

At least, that's how I would look at it.

An American embassy has to be the highest risk location to work.  Butr then I would not work for a petroleum company either - I think you are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

get good friends in your neighbourhood to tell you where to go.

in a embassy you may be fired while at petroleum you may catch fire!

i would stay where you are.  As there is no difference in job or salary then you are much safer working where you are.  The embassies are being targeted by terrorists especially american and british ones.  Do yourself a favour and stay put.
