Petsmart and Petco cruelty! :(?

Question

I just looked at www.petsmartcruelty.com, and it was horrible. I can't believe one of my guinea pigs had to go through all of that. I feel so bad for them. I wish people wouldn't do that. The company already has a bunch of money, why don't they spend some of it to make it a nicer place. Does anyone else feel this way?

whats on it? i bought a hamster from petco and it died within 7 days from wet tail. but what does the website tell you?

iv seen this video before....its so sad...everytime i go to petco and see all the little animals it makes me sick to my stomach. go PETA!

I know how hard it can be to sit there and listen to all that because i just witnessed that video and sometime you cant always beleive what you do here and yeah i know that some of it may be true but you personally should do something about  it and then maybe they will give you some more respect along with the animals but until people do something about it we are going to loose even more animals in this world then ever.

I've never seen that before...and honestly it just made me cry.  It's very sad what these poor things go through :( That rabbit getting neutered broke my heart...I don't know how people do these things.

And to the person who made the rude comment about PETA, that is not the case at all. Get your facts straight, and know what you're talking about before saying stupid things. The woman videotaping is a PETA member who infiltrated the facility as an employee. SHE WAS UNDERCOVER.

This is my opinion::

I felt the same way when I first saw that.. Then I realized, why is Petsmart still in business?? Its all a lie.. Petsmart shouldve been shut down a loong time ago for Pet Cruelty and Abuse.. How do you think that girl brought cameras in? She probably was the one torturing animals and Framing Petsmart.. She is part of PETA.. They tell everyone that theyre are trying to help out animals.. BUt, all they want is money from donations..

They are just BSing us so that we wouldnt shop at Petsmart and give them donations..

Petsmart is still in Business..

Shouldnt the police and Animal Rescue Organizations and stuff be there every single day?? Yes they should.. If that was true.. But its not.. So they arent..

And there are vets at Most Petsmarts.. So thats all a LIE..

Take everything that you see on the internet with a healthy dose of skepticism.

The site www.petsmartcruelty.com is registered to the fanatical 'animal-rights' group PETA. Their propoganda techniques are known far and wide.

You can be assured that everything on that site has been specifically tailored to give you the worst impression possible of PetSmart. (Some of it may actually be true but I wouldn't count on it.)

I have a guinea pig too! but not that i saw the website i realized that it is just plane cruel to do that to the animals! i never knew that!when i went to the website i just couldn't see the pictures cuz they were so sad! but thank u for asking this question

The thing about it isn't just Petsmart and Petco, it's where they get their animals from.  If you notice, MOST of the really cruel things happen there (typically Rainbow Exotics, I think).  The stores are an avenue of sales for the breeders where the really nasty conditions are.  If you purchase things, especially the small animals themselves, it's promoting the supply and demand of economics, and thus the breeders.

Its  MY EXPERIENCE THAT COMMERCIAL PET SHOPS DON'T KNOW MUCH WHEN IT COMES TO ANYTHING OTHER THAN DOGS OR CATS.My husband worked at a animal cemetery that cremated those animals.It does happen.Animal abuse is a fact. And needs to be handled legally.They don't want to be bred to die.The person that took those pictures, I commend her for her courage.She is doing  what it takes to bring this behavior to the public attention .Bravo to her.

they do this to make money

but they have to do it to minium care by law if it gets worse that what is allowed they can be fined or sent to jail

if you think it is below what it should be report it to your local council/govermnt

if you want it improving them you could start a petiton etc to get the law changed

think unleast your guinea pig has a lovely owner who cares alot :)
