Petty Theft Please Help? RECORD? Points?

My buddy got caught stealing 2 shirts by the sears security watchers. So he said they checked his record and clean it was. So they said they wernt gon report it to the police dept but that it would stay in the stores systems. They said it wouldnt even pop up on his record. But that if ir happened again he would get arrested. They took a picture and said they were gon put it in the a book were all the baned people pictures are put at for that mall and made him sign a paper saying wat he took and the amount it was worth. No figure print,They did ask for his social and check his record threw the police dept. If He gets caught again an police actually come to the seen will that be considered his first offense?

Was That just a warning? She said stores syteme ? What does that mean?

okay basically the store secrurity didnt wanna press charges because it costs sears more money to take them to court then the actuall stolen property costs... 2 shirts mean nothing to sears and robuck.. what they wanted to do was scare the little chap into not stealing anymore..

if the theft game you can steal and steal and steral and steal again...and never see a jail cell untill like your 4th and 5th offence

just dont get greedy..thats how u get caught

the money isnt in shirts its in elctronics and cell phones..preferable tmobil phones ... i made over 3 thousand in a week stealing

It was a warning. If (they are dumb enough) it happens again, the store has a record of a past problem, were they were kind and somewhat "Turned the other Cheek". What they have done is the making and keeping a record of what has happened. Like keeping stats on a sports team but nothing is "official". Or the documenting of cars coming and going from a suspected "Drug House". It shows "Intent", "Desire" and "Disrespect" for the Laws that govern us all.

(and I know, why should anyone Obey the Law. When our leaders pick and choose which laws they will follow and use. And which laws don't apply too them.)

If they didn't file a police report - then he got very lucky.

Tell your friend to get a job and actually buy his cloths like the rest of us have to do.

if they didnt actually arrest him or a police report wasnt filled out it cant really go on his record. INOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. but i think legally they have certain ammount of time before they can charge him. some places have like up to a year before the time limit runs out before he can be charged and brought before a judge.
