Peugeot 106 rear Demister problem

Hi, my rear demister doesn't work in my 106, I'v had this problem when I got the car but it was simply a job of plugin in the connectors on the windscreen and it was fixed.

This time i cannot seem to resolve it, I have checked the fuses and connections at the screen and repaired any breakages in the element but no luck.

Could it be something to do with the switch on the dash? If so, how would I go about finxing it?

Thanks.

  1. If the connector plug on the rear window was removed and you have re-fitted it, its possible that the very first part of the heater strip has cracked. The best way to test this is to get a cheap multi meter, connect it up to the connector and turn on the window de-mister. If you get a current reading on the connector then you need to check the continuity on the rear heater.

    Ja.

  2. First thing to do is to check for voltage at the element with a multimeter & the demister switched on, then work backwards or forwards from there. They are prone to the wires breaking where they go from the body to the hatch.
