Thanks for those, esp Von, who responded to my earlier question on use of veg oil with 2.1 TD engine. Reading more - it seems the main issue with use of veg oil lies with the Lucas diesel pump on these cars. What is the worse case scenario if the pump goes wrong/ blocks , with veg oil. Can it be simply flushed out with some fat dissolving solvent. If anyone has any simple schematics on converting 406 2.1 TD's direct injection engines to veg oil using twin tank i would appreciate it - i am unsure if oil line needs heating all way from tank to pump.
