Pga tour golf?

watching , listing to goolf babble todat t v . antique fellow . a large amount of nonesense babble . phil has 5 wedges , giant earth ahattering news . i have ysed 3 wood offtee , for 5 years carryig utlity wood 5 wedges . know other antiqyes do this also . why does the babble annoit phil of the 5 wedge systenm .when antiques have used this for years. just curiious

Most people use 2 to 3 wedges. Tiger only uses 2 wedges so for a PGA pro to use 5 is very differnt. Ive never heard of any one using 5 wedges. Listen to people talk helps you understand whats going on , if you dont like it dont listen

As already said, it's unusual to carry 5 wedges so for a fan of pro golf, it's an interesting statistic.  Ultimately, when Phil (or anybody else) turns in his score card, the only thing on it that counts are those little numbers.  It doesn't tell anybody what club was used.

First of all you have to stop drinking when you type. Secondly, Phil is one of the first TOP 3 players in the world to use that many wedges consistently and win tournaments consistently. He has the best flop-shot in modern golf. He works a lot with them because he drives and hits his long irons so far he needs 5 wedges. Where the average scratch golfer needs 3 and a 9i 8i 7i etc. he replaces those clubs with wedges. So it is only because it is necessary for him that he uses them because if you never use your 4 iron or 5 iron why carry it?

The number of clubs is limited to 14 in the bag, so why not use the clubs that best suit your game. Phil is one of the best players around the green and so he needs special wedges for the different lies. Tiger doesn't need so many wedges because he hits so many GIR.

Use the right tool for the job.

Well....when you have a boring tournament....and nothing else much worth talking about....out comes the munutiae to fill the air space,   I suppose it could be worse.....I watched a bit of the LPGA yesterday....and they called a shot great that was 40 ft from the hole...when others were hitting to 8'.....guess its all a perspective thing.

And whats with the Antique metaphor?.....not everyone is 16
