i recently started up my 20 gallon tank, and i tested the water and it came back that the ph was too high, so i added some ph neutralizer (less than i was supposed to) and now the water is cloudy. Will the cloudiness go away with time?

  1. You probably had water very high in calcium [bi]carbonate, which has now precipitated into the water as a cloud.  As long as you continue to use the pH down, the cloud will return as calcium, again, solidifies as it is separated from its [bi]carbonate.  If you want to lower the pH, start mixing in reverse osmosis water with your tap water to dilute the hardness and hydroxide (constitutes basicity) ions.
