Pham Thanh Ngu seizes Men’s 400m freestyle gold – Vietnam Swimming Championships
Pham Thanh Ngu of LAN seized gold medal of the Men’s 400m freestyle on concluding day of the 2012 Vietnam Swimming Championships at the Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday, September 16.
The 20-year-old Ngu stayed comfortably ahead of his following swimmer throughout the mediocre distant event and with his commendable efforts, he managed to secure the title of the event.
He continued his nerve breaking form from the start and transpired on the finishing blockade as the champion by touching the wall with a timing of 4 minutes and 05.05 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Chau B Anh Tu of DNG, who stayed 4.71 seconds away from his foregoing finisher and touched the wall with a timing of 4 minutes and 09.76 seconds for second position.
The silver medallist was traced by Lam Quang Nhat of HCM, who remained nearly six seconds apart and occupied the podium for bronze medal by clocking an effort of 4 minutes and 15.73 seconds.
Subsequently, fourth position of the race was obtained by Tran Tan Trieu of LAN, who stayed nearly eight seconds apart and surfaced on the wall with a timing of 4 minutes and 23.85 seconds.
Tran Tan was chased by Vu Tan Thanh of HPG, who suffered a deficit of almost seven seconds from his former finisher and posted a time of 4 minutes and 30.76 seconds for fifth position.
Sixth best position of the race was secured by Dang Quang Anh of HNI, who remained nearly 0.80 seconds behind and touched the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 31.55 seconds.
Anh was followed by Duong Thanh MI of QDI, who stayed 2.25 seconds away from his preceding swimmer and hit the wall for seventh position with a timing of 4 minutes and 33.80 seconds.
Last spot of the event was secured by Thai Quang Min of HNI, who remained just 0.16 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and clocked a time of 4 minutes and 33.96 seconds.
In addition, Ngu collected his medal and expressed happiness over his victory after the race.
