Phantom of the Opera?

Which production (either stage or movie) of Phantom of the Opera was your favorite and why? Who is your favorite Phantom? Favorite Christine?

The movie has changed something and made it illogical. The only thing I love about the movie is the scene of Masquerade.

My favourite Phantom is Michael Crawford

Christine is Sarah Brightman

But Raoul is not Steve Barton. I prefer Michael Shawn Lewis :)

I've only seen the movie. But I do have both versions of Phantom. I have to say I perfer Gerard and Emmy for the simple reason that they curve their voices around the emotions of the song and sound brillant.

No one can even come close to Michael Crawford or Sarah Brightman.  I've seen the original twice with both and once with other vocalists.. The timbre, range, and nuances of their expert performances is untouchable.  Get the CD and compare it to the movie as well.  Not even close.
